OVERVIEW
The Freeflex EVO 16 is an FIS approved race binding specifically for an alpine race application. The design in the Freeflex EVO reduces the impact on the natural ski flex. Decreased forward preasure, completely redesigned roller pincer system and wings, plus an intelligent gliding element, providing the greatest retention needed for agressive alpine racing.

Head Freeflex EVO 16
I've used various versions of the Head (and previously Tyrolia) bindings for 30+ years and never had problems with their retention or release when needed during my recreational or coaching days. In this day and age there are plenty of good binding systems on the market ranging from back country to racing but these meet my needs perfectly.
