The Corbetts story began more than 80 years ago, when Bud Corbett started selling sporting goods from the trunk of his car in Oakville. As demand grew, Bud opened a storefront—transforming Corbetts into a go-to destination for local athletes.

In 1967, Bud passed the business to long-time employee Ken Brown, who had a vision to bring skiing and winter sports into the spotlight. That shift helped cement Corbetts’ identity as a true winter sports destination—not just for Oakville, but for all of Southern Ontario.

In 1996, Ken’s daughter Kim and her husband Chris took the reins, continuing Corbetts’ legacy as a family-owned, community-driven business. For decades, we’ve employed hundreds of locals, welcomed multiple generations of customers, and grown alongside the people who make winter fun.

Today, Corbetts is thriving with:
